The Green
School Program is part of Learners In Action, a cross-Canada
program involving nearly 5000 schools. The program is supported
and
administered by the SEEDS Foundation, a not-for-profit, federally
chartered society assisting schools in the areas of curriculum
support,
professional development and resource-based
program implementation.
A Green School is a place where students take action:
To enhance the environment,
To communicate to others about the environment, or
To demonstrate the wise and sustainable use of resources that make up
our environment.
Rosedale reached Earth
Schoolstatus in May 2002.
This means that we have logged a total of 1000 environmental projects!
We invite you to look through our log book and to see
our Earth School banner and poster
on display in the main hall area.
The students and staff at Rosedale School are excited about
reaching
our goal to become an Earth School. We continue to promote environmental
awareness and action
on behalf of our fragile planet.
